SEASIDE GUIDE

This summer while on vacation in Destin, FL we decided to take the half hour drive down to Seaside. If you are the least bit familiar with Seaside, you know about the cute seaside tees, famous food trucks and the iconic post office. So of course I had to take advantage of the photo-op. How cute?! Seaside had so much to offer, lots of restaurants & food trucks, adorable local boutiques, walking paths and bike trails. I could have spent the whole week there!

Our first stop was Airstream Row for lunch. Airstream Row is a portion of seaside dedicated to food trucks. They have everything from a gourmet grilled cheese truck (The Meltdown) to a gourmet crepe truck (Crepes du Soleil). We chose Wild Bill's Beach Dogs. Their specialty is gourmet wagyu beef hotdogs with endless and unusual toppings. While hotdogs are not my favorite, these were an exception. I got the Chi Town hotdog and it was bomb!

Did you really go to Seaside if you didn't come home with a Seaside shirt?? The line outside of the store was a mile long but I was determined to get a shirt. So there we stood in line in the hot Florida sun for the dang Seaside tee! But let me tell you, it was well worth the wait. They had every color tee shirt & sweatshirt you could think of, I wanted one of each!

After lunch, we were ready for some shopping! I like to do my research before I visit a new place, so before coming to Seaside I found the CUTEST store, Cabana the Seaside Style, and I could not wait to shop there! They carry all my favorite brands, Farm Rio, Queen of Sparkles, CeliaB and my favorite, La Vie Style House. Lets be honest, thats one of the main reasons I just had to visit this store! They had tons of cute caftan options and I came so close to purchasing this purple one. Purple is not really my color and I DIE for the pink color way in this caftan but they didn't have it in store so I decided to order it. I can see this caftan being a staple in my closet for years and eventually making its way to my "vintage closet."

After all that shopping we were ready for a sweet treat. We stopped by Dawson's for a milkshake and fudge before heading back to Destin for the night. I got the cookies and cream milk shake and it was hands down the best milkshake I've had!

After our stop at Dawson's, we walked around town and checked out all the other boutiques and general stores Seaside had to offer. While we were only there for one day, I feel like we got to do so much. But theres still more we didn't cover that I want to do! I love Seaside because it offers something for everyone. Yummy food, unique stores, bike and walking trails.. Seaside is my new favorite summer destination, I cannot wait to go back!
